India’s domestic IT industry turnovers are expected to cross INR 1.7 Lakh Crore by 2016, clocking a growth of 12% compounded annually over next 4 years, as against INR 1 Lakh Crore in 2011, said a report by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
According to the report, the Indian IT sector was worth INR 99,700 Crore in 2011, with IT services contributing the largest share at INR 49,400 Crore followed by Hardware Manufacturing at INR 32,500 Crore and Software Services at INR 17,800 Crore.
