Luxury Hotel Taj Palace seems to have got a new lease of life with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) renewing its lease for next 25 years. In an official statement, Tata Group hospitality major Indian Hotels Company said on Thursday that The Taj Group has received the consent from DDA, confirming renewal of the license for the Taj Palace Hotel, Sardar Patel Marg, New Delhi for a further period of 25 years effective from April 1, 2013.

A DDA official said the DDA had processed the file and passed it on to the Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna and the chairman of DDA for approval. Moreover, the finance department had already cleared the file as there was no default by the hotel on financial matters.
