Indian-American students grabbed top spots at the prestigious California State Science Fair, including winning the award for ‘Project of the Year.’ 1,037 students from all over California participated in the fair that was held at the California Science Center in Los Angeles. A 12th grade student of Lynbrook High School in San Jose, California, Eesha Khare, won the top award for ‘Project of the Year’ in the senior grade at the fair. Khare also won a US$ 5,000 for her project, ‘Design and Synthesis of Hydrogenated TiO2-Polyaniline Nanorods for Flexible High-Performance Super capacitors’. The other Indian-American student who placed fi rst in the senior division was Ruchi S Pandya, also from Lynbrook High School.
